Today’s Prophetic Word- “God’s Servants are Taking Root, but Soon Enough They Will Shoot Up Rapidly Like Bamboo”

The Parable of Bamboo

A Message for God’s Servants

Although bamboo is not mentioned in the Bible, God recently gave me a Word that will be useful to those who are working in the Lord but feel as if they are seeing little results. To understand this Word, we will learn about the bamboo plant, compare it to scripture and apply its unique characteristics to God’s servants today.

What Makes Bamboo So Special?

Bamboo is the fastest growing land plant in the world, but before it can shoot up, it must establish a strong root system. In order to form healthy roots, it must be carefully watered and fertilized. Once settled, bamboo can grow up to nearly 4 feet per day!

Bamboo poles are profoundly sturdy, so strong that when an earthquake arises in Asian countries people run to the bamboo forest for shelter.

Bamboo can endure harsh conditions. It can grow in the intense heat as well as the blistery cold. Bamboo can take a long time to flower (up to 100 years) but when it does, every plant of the same species flowers together worldwide!

What Do Any of These Facts About Bamboo Have to Do With God’s Servants?

It’s Only a Matter of Time

“But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.”

Mark 4:17

You may feel like God is taking a long time to fulfill the promises He made to you. You are sure that the Word He put in your heart is true, and you have been working towards it, but have not seen any obvious growth.

This is because God is establishing your roots DEEP in Jesus, before He allows the strongest trials and tribulations to come upon you. You will NEED these deep roots to stand firm against the deception that is to come.

You MUST continue to water and fertilize the Word God planted in your heart, otherwise you will not develop strong roots.

Although you feel prepared for your purpose in Christ, there may be people that God has preordained to work with you who are not quite ready yet.

It may not be clear to you who these people are, so it is important that you do not discount anyone. Share Christ with those around you and edify those who are already planted in the Lord.

You Will be Strength to Those Around You

“rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

Colossians 2:7

The conditions of this world are going to change rapidly and people will become more and more disheartened and afraid. You will become an example to those who have put their faith in the world.

You will need to give up things you once loved or favored, and it is possible your own family may turn against you. Your abandonment will not be private, but it will cause others will take notice of your faith in God.

They will be curious about your peace, and they will want your peace. Be careful not to let anyone take your peace from you, but rather, share you peace by speaking the Words of God loudly and triumphantly.

You Will Face Difficulties Never Seen Before

“For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.”

Matthew 24:21

Trials and tribulations will come quickly and many will come together. In the same way, God will promptly raise up an army that will be activated together and work as one in Christ.

There will be famine, war, and disease. Then the earth itself will fight against those destroying it.

Because of these things, you will need every bit of strength that the Lord Jesus will give you.

But, as Jesus was made perfect through suffering, you will be made whole through trials and faith in Jesus Christ.

“God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.”

 Hebrews 2:10

Summary: It is only a matter of time before things dramatically change on this earth. There will be great suffering but you will serve as ambassador for Christ. Do not give up and trust that God has well equipped you for the things to come. The Lord Jesus is your greatest provision.
