Step Out of Your Mind, and Step into God’s Plan for Your Life

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Matthew 7:1-2 (NIV)

I used to be overly critical of myself. Indeed, I had stepped over the line from self improvement to self admonishment.

Due to my tendency to dissociate from myself (see our mental health post about dissociation), I projected my faults upon the world.

I was a legalistic critical perfectionist, wanting to do so many things but unable to take a step in any direction.

“What if I fail? What if others see my faults?

I’m not ready, maybe I’ll it sometime in the future. Yes, I’ll be ready then…”

I would ponder but NEVER progress.

So I stayed where I was, stuck inside my own dark mind.

I avoided other people because every time I went out, I saw my condemnations in the lives of others.

As if looking into a blackened mirror, I found no clarity in my vilification, only apprehension.

What many people neglect___ or, in their defense, fail to understand, is that the mental health of a person has a great deal to do with their ability to heal and follow God’s instruction.

Satan knows this, so he plants false beliefs inside the mind. They blossom into mental schemas that dictate how we see the world and how we make decisions.

Look around, our world is overflowing with hate and trauma and even environmental toxins that diminish the mental capacity of its inhabitants.

God has such massive plans for a countless number of people, but they are trapped, just as I was, inside their own minds.

The monstrous rhythm of condemnation plays out, back and forth, day and night, like a pendulum on a clock. Yet, it is frozen in time.

There is no advancement, alas there is only misery.

Brothers and sisters if this post resonates with your spirit, I wish to inform you that you are not alone in your struggle.

I know it well, as I was once held captive by my senses.

Please, learn to show mercy to yourself. I beseech you, learn to be kind to yourself.

Accept the sacrifice, love, and, mercy of Christ and step into God’s abundant plan for your life.

The devil has held you frozen inside yourself, but Jesus died to set you free.

You are free in Jesus’ Name.

Thank you for reading.

Please stick around for more posts to help you heal, mind, body, and spirit.

Much Love, Many Blessings, Jesus is Lord.
